Privacy Policy

gia is a private home-video app. Your recordings are yours. This page explains exactly what we hold and why, in plain words.

What we store

• Your videos. Encrypted in transit and stored on Cloudflare R2 in the United States. They are never public, never indexed, and never used to train anything.
• Your name and email address, so people you share with can recognise you. If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we only ever see Apple’s relay address.
• Information about your recordings — length, size, and when they were taken — so we can show your tapes and count your storage.
• Your subscription status, from Apple via RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

What we do not do

• We do not show advertising, and we never will.
• We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We use no analytics or engagement tracking.
• Nobody at gia watches your videos.

Who can see your tapes

Only you, and the people you personally invite to a specific tape. There is no public profile, no feed, and no way to discover a tape without an invitation. Anyone you invite can be removed at any time, and their access ends immediately.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the app at any time. Your videos and every record of them are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

If you stop subscribing

Nothing is deleted silently. Your recordings stay downloadable for 30 days, are archived for a further 30, and are only then removed. We email you at the start of that period and again seven days before anything is deleted. Resubscribing at any point restores everything.

Children

gia is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
