Terms of Service

Last updated September 2026

These terms cover your use of gia. They are deliberately short.

Your account

You need an account to use gia, and you are responsible for what happens under it. You must be 13 or older.

Your recordings belong to you

You keep every right to what you record. You give us only the permission needed to store your videos and show them to you and to the people you invite. We claim no ownership and make no other use of them.

Subscriptions

gia is sold as hours of video. A subscription renews automatically until cancelled, and you cancel through your Apple ID settings. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Payment is handled by Apple; refunds are Apple’s to give.

If a subscription ends

Your account becomes read-only: you can still watch and download everything for 30 days. Recordings are then archived, and deleted 30 days after that. We email you twice before anything is removed. Resubscribing before then restores your tapes. Tapes other people have shared with you are never affected.

What you may not do

Do not use gia for anything unlawful, and do not upload material you have no right to record or share. We may suspend an account that does.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. We may end service with reasonable notice, except where an account is being used unlawfully.

The usual caveats

gia is provided as it is. We work hard to keep your recordings safe and available, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable.
